Packing Guide

Ensure your items arrive securely at their destination by following Qdrop's standardized shipping packing protocols.

📦 1. General Packing Best Practices

Standard ecommerce parcels should be packed to withstand transit handovers. Good packing avoids damage and prevents weight discrepancy flags.

  • Use double-walled corrugated cardboard boxes for heavier items or fragile goods.
  • Fill void spaces completely using bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or crumpled kraft paper to prevent internal movement.
  • Seal all seams and edges of the box using heavy-duty shipping tape (H-taping method).
  • Affix AWB Shipping Labels flat on the top of the box. Do not fold the barcode over edges or seams.

🍎 2. Special Guidelines for Food & Liquids

Intra-city hyperlocal deliveries often contain food, grocery, or liquid medicine items.

  • Liquids must be placed in leak-proof containers and sealed in plastic zip bags.
  • Perishables should be packed in insulated boxes with cold packs if shipping during warm weather.
  • Mark the outer package clearly with "Fragile" or "Keep Upright" stickers.

⚠️ 3. Prohibited & Dangerous Goods

IMPORTANT Certain packages are legally prohibited inside automated courier networks.

  • Combustible liquids, pressurized aerosol cans, and fireworks.
  • Illegal contraband, prescription narcotics without verification, and cash/negotiable instruments.
  • Hazardous waste, explosives, and uninsulated dry ice.
